I am currently researching a scholarly article on attitudes towards the
doctrine of reincarnation amongst early Christians.

Does anybody know of specific Christian Gnostic sects which explicitly
affirmed this doctrine, and sources that document this?

Thanks in advance

Google turns up 174,000 hits on the obvious search words.  Most of it
is probably trash, but maybe some will give decent references, or at
least tip you off to some words to narrow the search.

Yes, of course I have tried Google.

That's the problem, and the reason I'm checking if anyone here might
have looked into the subject systematically.

You could ask your question at alt.religion.gnostic.  There is a very
high proportion of absolute nutcases subscribe to the group, but there
are also a few people who are very knowledgable.
