Tom Dillehay of Vanderbilt University -

"Not only do people domesticate plants, but the
plants in some ways domesticate people."

Comments?

Yes. This is such a commonplace, such an obvious fact, so well-known
to archaeologists, that I'm surprised Dillehay felt the need to write
it out loud.

It is the reason the Neolithic is (generally) such a significant
departure from the late Paleolithic.

Did it come as a new thought to you? If so, why? Hadn't you noticed it
before?

I am honored that you deigned to comment in response
to Dillehay, not me.  I myself am a mere flyspeck
in the universe.  Worse than that, I am a writer who
gets down quickly to the basics.

But can you discuss my comments? With regard to the archaeological
issue involved? Will you?

Well?

In general the rise of farming brought about a sedentary way of life.

In Peru of 8000 BC -

were villages established?  My answer as of now: doubtful that
we have archaeological evidence of it because I have not heard
of it.

The best that can be done IMHO is to trace the limited range
of domesticated crops.  Animals, if possible though they
were not mentioned in the article.  Maybe animals came
somewhat later.  I don't really know.

Go away, realy?
Never in my whole life I have heard such a thing.

And Barbara Thiering took measurements, you said?

Come on, just killfile him everybody. This thread is just confirmation
of what we all know, that he is completely clueless (so complete that
he has no idea how clueless he is). I don't know what his purpose is
in starting all these threads, it may be his delusion that he is a
teacher and this is his classroom, it may be to prove something else,
but for sci.arch's sake he needs to be ignored.

Thus, you've never heard of any archaeological evidence
for villages in Peru 8000 BC, where the villagers domesticated
a very limited range of crops.

BTW, you misspelled - "realy".

    You are stupid beyond belief.

You are an ancient yuletide carol.

You hold the world record for being unintelligent
in your insult technique.

When you decide to act, you have to put force behind it.

When I read you, rotting wood comes to mind mentally.

You remain stupid. Everyone tells you that. You insist otherwise. A troll
remains an ancient yuletide carol.

How about, "Thiering undresses you funny"? "Babs has three boobs"?

Rotting wood generally has quite a pleasant smell. Perhaps you are thinking of
a rotting woody.

Not LOL!

The traditional early Quakers did not celebrate Christmas or
sing carols.  I emulate them for the most part.

There has always been deep misunderstanding on your
part of exactly who I am and what my background is.

I am a complete mystery to you after A FULL YEAR.

However, now I am seriously conversing with you and it isn't about
squash seeds.

I repeat that the 1981 Thiering article I mentioned earlier is
NECESSARY FOUNDATION for you ever to understand
Essene solar calendar and its presence in specific NT text.

It's your choice.  Well?  Do you want to learn something new?
If you do, I invite you to get involved in forthcoming discussion
on SHA.

The Shintoists do not celebrate Christmas or sing carols. You emulate them too.
You emulate the Muslims too. Also the Jews. In fact the emulate the majority of
the human race today and for most of history.

As you likely do not know, Quakers were emulating Christians before their and
did not adopt the developing custom of transferring the pagan traditions to the
Christian holiday.

Now back to your regularly schedule Thiering drooling.

I had always suspected you were dropped on your head as an infant as you do not
appear old enough to have been kicked in the head by a mule.
