Fishing in the USGulf can mean casting a
net in the surf for mullet all the way up to
a shark rig locked in a cradle welded to the
bed of a pickup which is backed up to the ocean.
Where is your favorite fishing spot in the Old
Empire as well as in Britannia proper ?
No "fish stories" puleeze !

Cheers to the Compleat Brit Angler,

Yes, I have heard about using a stick of
dynamite to bring up a lot of fish in a
hurry.  But where can you get away with this?
In Scotland ?

For fish that rise to a fly, probably Atlantic Canada; there are the
Labrador Atlantic salmon runs, Newfoundland's rivers, the Margaree
River in Cape Breton and the Miramichi in New Brunswick with little or
no development to disturb migration. Northern Quebec has great Actic
char. The Northwest Territories have whitefish in their great lakes
(but one goes after these with bait). The trout fisheries in Western
Canada on the eastern slopes of the Rockies are very good. The lake
trout and Chinook salmon in the Great Lakes are not bad, but under
developmental pressures, both hydro and industrial.
