Oh, they hate him for much more important reasons than that, Hippo.  <g>

Much more PERSONAL REASONS.

They hate Don Rumsfeld because he makes abject fools and a.ses out of the
"Mainstream Media", because he does not suffer fools gladly and because he
has the guts to fire back at his critics.

He embarrasses them publicly -- so they hate him.

They hate his brass and confidence -- characteristic of a naval aviator who
was also a wrestler and went through Princeton on an NROTC scholarship.

Character Is Destiny...

"Personal details" are Essential To Understanding a man or woman.

They also hate him because he was extraordinarily good-looking when he was
younger and got all the good chicks -- while they had to settle for the
feminists, the frails and the granolas.

Sounds exactly like my kind of guy. Let's leave him in as SECDEF. -the Troll

Besides, I just got a personalized signed photograph of him to put on my
'most admired' wall. -the Troll

Don Rumsfeld is short too -- only 5 foot 8, or thereabouts.  That's why he
gets goosey if some tall general or admiral is standing too close to him.
It makes him look like a shrimp SECDEF -- a boy toy for women over 70.

He sends out that photo you have in your sweaty little palms to all the
short People in the Republican Party.

They've got your number, Hippo, and will be sending you a cigarette lighter
next -- with an elephant engraved on it -- one side -- and G.O.P. on the
other.

I hope you will treasure it the rest of your days -- which may well be
short, if you keep smoking 4-5 packs per day.

Nah, low friends in high places. My partner's wife's brother is on his
staff, which I didn't know until this week. It will go on the wall with
Gingrich, and Franco (as a Major in the Riff Wars). -the Troll

Does this mean you will have to move the portraits of  Calhoun, Jefferson
Davis, Robert E. Lee, "Stonewall" Jackson and Pierre Gustave Toutant
Beauregard to make room?
