And Richard's disposition and actions were the opposite of how they are
portrayed by Shakespere.

Yet another traitor wins out. :-(

Yes for an accurate account of Richard III, we have to go to Moore ;)

More was hardly unbiased and certainly isn't to be regarded as producing an
accurate account - though it may be as accurate as he was allowed to learn.
We know of inaccuracies. If you trust More (as knight or saint) then you may
learn about the facts that the Tudors allowed out (and some of those they
hid).

Did you see the mention of Richard III and his horse in Paul
Cartledge's recent book 'Alexander the Great: the hunt for a new
past'?  When discussing Alexander's fondness for his horse Bucephalas,
Cartledge mentions that "our good king Richard III would allegedly
have given his kingdom for such an equine" [pages 206-7].

The word 'allegedly' shouldn't allow you to repeat a known lie. I presume PC
would be incensed to find another biographer repeat such falsehoods about
*his* chosen subject.
