I was browsing through my Oxford Dictionary of Quotations and looking up
what various kings and queens were said to have said. No great surprises - I
thought the Elizabeth 1 entry would have had the Hatfield inscription "Much
said about me, Nothing proved will (can?) be. However I could not find an
entry for Diana - did she not say anything worth writing down or is there a
title under which I should have looked?

Don't tempt me! ...................
If you really want to, there seems to be plenty of stuff if Googled -
"princess diana" quotations - etc.
I'd have thought, by now, her more infamous stuff would have got into later
publications.
"I'd like to be a queen in people's hearts" ....... ugh!
