House Defense chair asks Pentagon to remove embedded CNN reporters
AP

SAN DIEGO -- The chair of the House Armed Services Committee asked the
Pentagon today to remove C-N-N reporters embedded with U-S combat units.

The network televised portions of a video on Wednesday showing insurgent
snipers targeting U-S military personnel.

Executives said the tape came to the network unexpectedly through contact
with an insurgent leader.

Representative Duncan Hunter wrote in his letter that, quote, "C-N-N has now
served as the publicist for an enemy propaganda film featuring the killing
of an American soldier."

San Diego-area Republicans Darrell Issa and Brian Bilbray also signed the
letter.

C-N-N executives defended their decision to air the footage, saying its news
value outweighed other concerns.

CNN should buy up Aljezeera instead of competing with them.

If nothing else, the morons should ask themselves what effect celebrating
the deaths of US troopers, will have on the attitudes of those troops toward
their news a.sholes.

Who was that piece of sh.t from New Zealand that Saddam used to use as an
advocate?

that is true, we must be isolated from the war, we must only get our info
from the ministry of infomation and propaganda as diseminated by.herr rove.
we can't let the american people see the truth, nobody dies, the worst is
behind us, there is no civil war, mission accomplished,
count the purple fingers.

Ray, what news value is there in showing US troops getting
mowed down by snipers?  I can only see it serving one purpose,
supporting the Al-Qaeda ministry of propaganda, by herr Bin-Ladin.

if people know what's really happening then they make smarter decisions.
hiding the truth only allows scoundrals to get away with things.
america will support a just war and accept the cost.
bush thinks if he pretends no one ever gets hurt we will let him do as he
pleases.

Hmmm, so people are unaware that soldiers get shot during a war....wow,
I didn't know folks were that stupid.  Go figure with our education system
the way it is.

I can't speak for the President, but he does try and personally contact
the families of our fallen...I would wager he knows the personal cost
more so than you ever will.

You mean like the Iraqi people getting to watch something other that "state"
sanctioned television?  Or being able to own cell phones?  Or getting to
vote for the canadite they want to?  Is that what you mean?  'Cause we sure
ain't seeing the positive stuff here in the United States.  All we see is
death, if no one dies in Iraq, then we hear about how there is an imminent
civil war brewing....

When has Bush pretended tha no one ever gets hurt?  What part of "war" don't
you get?
