if people know what's really happening then they make smarter decisions.
hiding the truth only allows scoundrals to get away with things.
america will support a just war and accept the cost.

Hmmm, so people are unaware that soldiers get shot during a war....wow,
I didn't know folks were that stupid. Go figure with our education system
the way it is.
I can't speak for the President, but he does try and personally contact
the families of our fallen...I would wager he knows the personal cost
more so than you ever will.

You mean like the Iraqi people getting to watch something other that "state"
sanctioned television? Or being able to own cell phones? Or getting to
vote for the canadite they want to? Is that what you mean? 'Cause we sure
ain't seeing the positive stuff here in the United States. All we see is
death, if no one dies in Iraq, then we hear about how there is an imminent
civil war brewing....

When has Bush pretended tha no one ever gets hurt? What part of "war" don't
you get?
