Clearly Pogue Black is just in a poguesque Brit snit because he's freezing
his tuchis and tootsies off in a poorly heated, squalid flat in Yorkshire
and is hunched over his computer all bundled up.
So, he's quite envious of Renia in Athens.
Deeeeelightful!
How Sweet It Is!
Hmmmmmm...
Let's see...
It's currently 76 degrees Fahrenheit here -- a beautiful day -- expected to
have a high temperature of 80 degrees with a low of about 70 degrees
tonight.
We have an East Wind at 10 MPH. Very pleasant.
Some brief showers and beautiful rainbows.

Scottish Ancestry:
Of course Fergus of Dal Riata [Dalriada] MorMacErc is my 46th
Great-Grandfather.
He was reportedly killed in 501 A.D.
I have that in common with tens of millions, perhaps hundreds of millions,
of other folks.
It's no big thing.
Just A Curiosity.
Pogue Highgonader may also be descended from Fergus.

As is to be expected, the British have a very elaborate and complex CLASS
SYSTEM as to the various GRADES of British CITIZENSHIP.
Vide infra.:
<http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/applying/nationality/advice/bn1>
It's so multi-tiered and Byzantine, with exceptions, exclusions,
limitations, qualifications and preferences that even Pogue Black, a Brit
himself, is quite clueless about it.
Hilarious!
Suspicions Confirmed...
Black loves to prattle as if he's an Authority on some matter affecting
Britain and then -- when probed -- turns out to be as dumb as a sack of
hammers on the FACTS.
Renia recently caught him in the same pogueish shenanigans -- and skewered
him.

Fowler is excellent on this and much briefer and to the point -- page 12.
Also see Strunk & White for additional salient details and clarifications.

Pogue Highgonader, as usual, is all discombobulated and confused.
What a moron!
Stepan Bandera was killed in Munich.
FACTS are an alien category to someone with the mentality of Pogue
Highgonader.
This pogue is just FULL of horse manure.
Vide infra pro risibus.

Hilarious!
As is to be expected, Pogue Gans defends the corrupt, dictatorial, 1947
American unions, many of which were dominated by racketeers, gangsters and
Communists.
Even Hollywood exposed them. See Elia Kazan's Great Film _On The
Waterfront_, with Marlon Brando, Eva Marie Saint, Lee J. Cobb, Rod Steiger
and Karl Malden.
The Longshoremen were perhaps the most notorious -- led by the confirmed
Communist sympathizer, Harry Bridges.
Of course their power had to be challenged by countervailing Public Outcry
and the Government checks and balances which followed.
The Taft-Hartley Act was part of that process -- an important part.
Gans ALWAYS defends the Communists against their critics -- it's bred in the
bone by his ancestors -- just as he was wildly supportive of the
Communist-spy Rosenbergs during this period -- when he was a young and
foolish fellow -- perhaps even more foolish than he is now.
But That's A Close Call, As To When Gans Was More Foolish -- Then Or Now.
