Hilarious!

Yet Pogue Black posts this to a HISTORY group...

Victoria, it just doesn't get any better than this.

Enjoy!

And Pogue Hines posts this to a naval group.

Not that Pogue Hines is able to distinguish between groups - in his
galloping egomania he is convinced that anything he finds "hilarious",
the sole adjective in his vocabulary it would appear, must be so to a
myriad of disparate groups.  Either that or he is just too dumb to
operate his newsreader in any way that is a reasonable facsimile of
"adequate".

I have noted a mild stirring of revolt in the numerous other groups
that the Hine-ender likes to spread his unoriginality to. However, it
is interesting that the one group he does post from refuses to
recognize that fact and blames "the military" groups  for his onset.
Hines cannot remember what he has posted or where so he posts
everything, his stuff and that of others he finds "interesting", to
everyone.

You keep making this claim, yet as pointed out to you more than once,
there is no such thing as a "home group", anyone with a news reader or
web browser may post to any unmoderated group anytime they want to send
a message.  There is no such thing as a "group he does post from" as he
posts from his computer using a piece of software that affects as many
groups as he places in the To: line.  I don't anyone who blames anyone
else but Hines for his onset.  Your second line bears remembering.

Perhaps not strictly speaking but even when folks tend to post
(not cross-post) to several groups they still tend to regard one
of them as 'home'. In my case it's scs.

> I don't anyone who blames anyone else but Hines for his onset.

I presume you meant, 'I don't blame anyone else but Hines' ?

I'm afraid that I do.
The person who *first* replies to *any* post by Hines
without trimming to_that_ng_in_which_it's_being_read
is equally culpable.

I don't.  I subscribe to a number of groups, they appear in my reader in
simple alphabetical order; none of them is my "home".  And in any case,
Hines has no home either.

>>I don't anyone who blames anyone else but Hines for his onset.

No.  As made clear in what I quoted, Jack claims that whatever group
Jack considers to be Hines' home group thinks that its the military
groups' fault.  I don't believe that to be true: I do not know of anyone
who blames anyone else but Hines himself for Hines' onset(s).

You mean like the one I'm responding to from you?  Yes, it would be nice
if we could everyone just to ignore him utterly.

The people who keep score say he posts from alt.history. british

Hilarious!

The more Pogue Linthicum posts the dumber he gets.

alt-history.british is simply the first, alphabetically, of the groups from
which I post as a home group.

Hi DSH,
it's interesting how little they know even to this day. The one below is
even better than PG's used to be back in the old days. How come that some
are so interested in showing their lack of what they should have known had
they only known how and where to look. Btw you used an other rerouting
today. Seems to be good weather in your end.
Take care

Hi Inger,

Yes, Linthicum is perennially one of the sorriest here, but there are
others.

Pogue Linthicum obviously never even learned his A, B, C's.  <g>

How many letters do you have in the Swedish Alphabet?

I used "another rerouting"?

Yes, we have had good weather here.

Today has been bright and sunny on the Leeward Side and cool and cloudy on
the Windward Side -- but pleasant all 'round.

Aloha,

28 so we are told in schools....
a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m, n,
o, p, q, r, s, t, u, v, x, y, z, å, ä, ö, ...... but we use 'w' as well and
count it in under 'v'.....

Rerouting. one of your articles to group took a very interesting turn from
your town.... a very interesting indeed. Long-distance turn which took 4
minuites before it once again went the ordinary way.

Best

Well, as I have my two grandsons here, in the High Sierra, we are learning
that it is...

A, B, C, D, E, F, G.

H, I, J, K, LMNOP.

Q,R,S,

T,U,V,

Double-U, X, Y, and Z

Now I've sung my ABCs, won't you come and sing with me?

Tomorrow I get to read "Green Eggs and Ham."

I was going to read the US Army Field Manual on Counterinsurgency Operations
but my daughter-in-law said ixnay, and fortunately the kids, who are three
and two years old, do not understand pig latin, or even English or Gaelic.
My singing of "Wild Rover" has also fallin' on deaf ears so maybe thy have
no culture at all.

When I was reading soc.genealogy medieval, he was prone to post there and
frequently cross-post to soc.history.medieval.  His Bachelors from Yale,
IIRC, is in history.

So, if you play around with the order of groups when you send, that's
the order they turn up in.

But if you send from one group, not the first in the address list,
that is the group the profile will record as your orgination point.
All of Hines' posts originate from alt.history.british
