"The right of freely examining public characters and measures, and
of free communication among the people thereon . . . has ever been
justly deemed the only effectual guardian of every other right."

-- James Madison (Virginia Resolutions, 24 December 1798)

Today we have USENET as a medium for carrying on that Noble Tradition --
thanks to the Founding Fathers and those who have Fought for and Kept The
Faith as well as those who have Kept The Home Fires Burning.

Hilarious!  Hinesy sees his activities as being in the vein of James
Madison!  What a hoot!!  Madison was well capable of a witty insult to a
debating opponent, but never, ever did he and his peers ever allow the
insult, the innuendo, the fallacy of ad hominem to be the substance of
their posts, unlike our dear Hinesy.
