Nonsense...
Pogue Turlough still can't prove the anserine remarks ---- based on
salacious, steamy rumors and trailer-trash innuendo ---- which he makes
above and below about Dwight David Eisenhower....
So he just continues to babble, burble and retail balderdash.
Pogue Turlough has failed to do his homework.

1. No, the assertions are not well-documented.
2. "So what?" Good Question...
Here's the answer:

With Ike, Rumors Were Steamier Than Facts
By Gil Troy
The Washington Post-Sunday, March 1, 1998; Page C03
Since the Clinton-Lewinsky allegations became public six weeks ago, the
rich and noble history of the presidency has been reduced to the trivial
pursuit of salacious details about every previous president's alleged
peccadilloes.
Dredging up this rogues' gallery of philandering presidents feeds the modern
"anything goes" mentality -- as well as the "everybody does it" defense that
we've heard from some Clinton supporters.
[I know some of the folks who orchestrated this "they all did it" defense of
Clinton -- as a red herring, of course. They particularly focused on Thomas
Jefferson. -- DSH]
It, however, also has done Dwight Eisenhower a disservice.
Some reporters have blithely included Gen. Eisenhower on their list, citing
a wartime affair with his driver, Kay Summersby. In fact, the evidence has
always been murky and many historians now doubt that Eisenhower and
Summersby had a sexual relationship.
-------------------------------------------------------
In any case it was certainly not with a White House intern, young enough to
be his daughter, toward whom Slick Willie Clinton had a fiduciary, _in loco
parentis_, responsibility.
