It's always a mistake to try to FORCE-FIT one language into the grammar,
syntax and semantics of another.

The two Germans are trying to force-fit German grammatical models onto
ENGLISH...
With an AUTHORITARIAN, typically Germanic, thrust.
Mary Loomer Oliver, AKA "Erilar", taught High-School German for many years
and is now retired, reportedly living in an underground home in Wisconsin.
Michael Kuettner is Austrian or German.

The German labguage is the right one to model English on - and our
glorious Fatherland.
The sun on the meadow is summery warm.
The stag in the forest runs free.
But gather together to greet the storm.
Tomorrow belongs to me.
The branch of the linden is leafy and
Green,
The Rhine gives its gold to the sea.
But somewhere a glory awaits unseen.
Tomorrow belongs to me.
The babe in his cradle is closing his eyes
The blossom embraces the bee.
But soon, says a whisper;
"Arise, arise,
Tomorrow belongs to me"
Oh Fatherland, Fatherland,
Show us the sign
Your children have waited to see.
The morning will come
When the world is mine.
Tomorrow belongs to me!

So what is the German translation ?
I have a copy of Die Nord Zee with an English translation
page for page.
I guess the NSDAP failed to check the authorship of this
song. The irony of history is that the Jews invented Hitler
Germany in the same way they invented Hollywood and
the "American Way of Life." Yet they have failed to
establish a safe home for themselves in the Holy Land.
It always comes back to the racism which they refuse to
address among themselves.
