Researching knights' names from medieval English wars

I'm helping out a friend who's doing some research on his family history,
and he's asked if there are any online resources that list the names of
knights who fought in the major medieval English battles, and subsequently
in the English Civil War.

I'm aware of the Waterloo Roll, for example, but he's hoping to go back to
the 100 Years War if possible, but neither of us know where to start.  The
obvious Google searches haven't brought up anything, but of course it's
possible that such lists simply don't exist...

Thanks in advance.

Try asking on soc.genealogy.britain but make sure you're wearing full
armour!!  It can get a bit rough in there when one or two people
*think* you've asked a stupid question.

You need to give as much information as possible, esp names, dates and
places, in order to get the best advice (which may not be what you
want to hear) and the best information.
