Subject: Tell Congress to Investigate the 2004 Election

Dear friend,

Questions are swirling around whether the election was conducted
honestly or not. We need to know -- was it or wasn't it?

If people were wrongly prevented from voting, or if legitimate votes
were mis-counted or not counted at all, we need to know so the
wrongdoers can be held accountable, and to help prevent this from
happening again.

Members of Congress are demanding an investigation to answer this
question. Join me in supporting their call, at:

http://www.moveon.org/investigatethevote/

Thanks.

Ohio electoral fight becomes 'biggest deal since Selma' as GOP
stonewalls

COLUMBUS -- As Republican officials stonewall subpoenas and subvert
the recount process, Rev. Jesse Jackson has pronounced Ohio's vote

Kerry votes switched to Bush and ballots pre-punched for Bush
by Dr. Werner Lange
Pre-punched ballots; touch-screen vote switching; more absentee votes
than absentee voters; unfair provisional voter deletions; change of
voting sites on Election Day; voter suppression; voter intimidation;
double voting; malfunctioning machines; recalibrated machines;
evidently rigged machines; and even 25 million negative votes
registered in some races in Mahoning County!

"Hacking the vote in Miami County"
by Richard Hayes Phillips, Ph.D.
Department: Election 2004
On Election Night, when 100% of the precincts in Miami County had
reported, only 31,620 votes had been counted.  George W. Bush was
reported to have won Miami County with 20,807 votes (65.80%) to 10,724
votes (33.92%) for John F. Kerry.  These numbers did seem low.  In
2000 there had been 42,841 ballots cast.  Bush had won Miami County
with 26,037 votes (60.78%) to 15,584 votes (36.38%) for Al Gore.

Democrats even say Kerry lost . Get over it a.shole.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party, the Kerry campaign, the secretary of
state and political experts say that while there were hiccups and
glitches on Election Day, there's no chance that the election was
stolen, or that the results will be overturned.

"Grow up! That's what I'd tell them. Grow up. Because I frankly think
this is childish," said Ryan Barilleaux, a Hanover Township resident and
chairman of the political science department of Miami University of Ohio.

Barilleaux credited groundswell to Ohio's pivotal role in the election -
if Kerry backers can yet swing Ohio, they'll have Kerry in the White
House - to avenge for the 2000 election, and to the nation's "culture of
litigation."

"For the last half century, anytime anyone has not liked something,
they've litigated it," he said. "Why should elections be any different?"

Dan Trevas, a spokesman for the Ohio Democratic Party, said many voters
are driven to espousing conspiracies because they just can't believe
that after such a fierce campaign, after they turned out so many votes,
they lost.

"They're still a little shocked that Republicans turned out that many
more voters considering they weren't doing the registration at the
levels (Democrats) were. There's kind of this awe out there," he said.

Terry McAuliffe, the national DNC chairman, was forced to issue a
statement Wednesday noting that the election outcome is "undisputed."

"Unlike 2000, the Republicans simply received more votes than the
Democrats in this election," he said. "We are not contesting the outcome
of this election."

James Lee, a spokesman for Blackwell, said poll workers and Ohio's
entire electoral process were subject to astonishing scrutiny on
Election Day. International observers, the media and lawyers looked for
anything that seemed amiss.

"With any election, there is a minority of voters who are dissatisfied
with the outcome," he said. "It is a testimony to our democracy that in
spite of all the scrutiny and criticism and lawsuits, overall the
election went off smoothly in Ohio

Any particular reason for putting the word "Subject" in the subject-line

write your senator, ask them to challenge the electoral results.
one senator just has to stand up to this fraud for an investigation.

I think it is too late for that. We now have a one party system, and it
will not investigate itself, nor facilitate anyone else doing so.

Even if Bush didnt steal 5% of the vote, that still leaves 45% of the
electorate who supported him, which is evidence of such massively
pervasive insanity that there no longer is a functional democracy.

We only have now to wait until the policy based on irrational
assumptions leads to a financial panic and revolution. What is it like
where you live, and are you going to be out of the way of the frantic
chaos which can result?

I note that most of those who live in the United States of Denial,
cannot respond rationally to anything which offends their sensibilities.

The pervasiveness with which we see the Bushies respond with anger and
attempts at quick comebacks, rather than the substance of the thread,
only demonstrates their lack of rationality. If most of them had a
rational rebuttal, they would use it. There are some few who have the
talent to defend Bush's policy, but apparently George is not one of them.

Yet they acheived an election victory. Underestimate that
rationality at your peril.

<irony meter explodes>

Bush won.

Kerry lost.

Deal with it -- you'll sleep better.

And to make you feel better, here's an AP story called "Ohio Recount Ends,
Shows Vote Closer"

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&ncid=703&e=1&u=/ap/20041228/ap_on_re
_us/ohio_vote

The objective, unbiased AP reporter is technically correct -- the recount
showed that Bush got about 300 fewer votes. Of course, Bush still won Ohio
by  118,457 votes. I wonder -- if the recount had shown Bush with 300
additional votes, would the AP have titled this article "Ohio Recount Ends,
Shows Vote Not As Close" or somesuch?

Somehow, I doubt it.

In any case, as we say here in Texas, "that dog won't hunt". Can you say
"President George W. Bush"?

Liberals make me want to vomit!
Instead of getting inthe arena of ideas and try to get people to agree with
them...they just try to force their minority views into legistlation through
law making.......wretched creatures.....course, Republicans are not much
better...but they are better for sure.

...Which is exactly the way the demoratic process is supposed to work,
of course.

So the kooks at moveon.org have decided that they won't go quietly into the
night, eh? Gee that's a shock.

The bottom line remains -- the Democrats failed to convince enough Americans
they could be trusted with power. Nor will they ever do so as long as kooks
like Soros, Tubby Reifenstahl, etc., presume to speak for Democrats. IMHO of
course.

You'd think that these kooks would realize that their shrill caterwauling
just doesn't inspire confidence.

And note the beating the Democrats took in the Congress -- I guess
Halliburton and Karl Rove stole those as well?

Soooo...get over it. Game over, school's out, the fat lady sang, etc.
