If you actually go back to the site, it is a little more specific now
http://www.helpsrilanka.co.uk
I just wanted something quick to put up on the site yesterday, the aid
needed can't wait for a website to be created, it was needed as soon as the
disaster happened.
It is difficult when you are starting up. We wanted to donate as a
business, but who to - OXFAM and some of the other cahrities pay as little
as 30% of each £1.00 to the actual charity as they have administration
expenses etc. I wanted to make sure I know what was happening with my
money. Sending out requests through any means at my disposal has resulted in
many cruel emails. I have not hidden behind free email addresses and I can
be found at the computer shop listed in the website. I am a hard working,
caring and loving wife and parent who has been extremely affected by what I
have seen.
Being a registered charity is not something that you can do overnight. We
have many forms of identification of who we are on the website now, and as
more ways of donating becomes available, then we will be adding it to the
website.
Thank you to all who have donated already, but as you know more is going to
be needed for years to come
If you dont feel that you can use us for donating, then please use whatever
means that make you feel comfortable.
Kindest Regards
Tracy Matthews
