I have now posted on my web site an exchange that I had on alt.history
on Usenet during the first week of January, 2006, concerning Communists
working in the Roosevelt administration. I would like to express my
appreciation to Mr. Robert Cohen for responding to my repeated
postings. His responses prompted me to do additional research and led
me to the discovery, recounted in entry #7, that the Public
Broadcasting System has written apparent untruths that would tend to
absolve President Franklin Delano Roosevelt of responsibility for
protecting a Soviet spy ring that operated in the highest reaches of
his administration for many years. See

Well of course they protected him. It wouldn't do at all for the public to
find out that McCarthy was right about Communist inflitration of the
government. That might cause the public to question whether McCarthy was
unfairly demonized by lefties...and to ask why so many lefties were
enchanted by genocidal regimes like the USSR.

re: Has PBS done any Verona documentary work? They oughta.
If the Verona disclosures have been followed-up & not de-bunked by PBS
scholars, then I would take such as implicit acknowledgment of the very
harsh truths/realities that DC Dave & Ty are asserting.
My limited reading/hearing-reports about Verona tend to convince me
there is some proof of Chambers etal there, damneit.
