Trouble is, Obama's numbers are soaring a heckuva lot higher.

"If the election for president were held today and the candidates were John McCain and Barack Obama, for whom would you vote?" (Names rotated)
John McCain ---- 41% Barack Obama --- 51%

I hope he doesn't think he doesn't need those things...? Someone, tell Obama to finish the job and lets move forward, for the love of God, to get past these crazy Neocons in history.

BUT... This is shaping up to be a seriously tight and very seriously waged battle!
richardhutnik@gmail.com - 26 Feb 2008 04:47 GMT > Please keep up the Yellow journalism and watch McCain's numbers soar. You apparently are not paying attention. The NY Times piece appeared to be something about a sex scandal, and you jumped and called the paper slime. The real legs has to do with McCain possibly not being true to the high standards he set for himself. The "sex scandal" can possibly happen to do with McCain doing inappropriate favors that aren't sexual.
For McCain, this is likely the best time for the story to break. He is about to wrap up the nomination, and he has time to put the fire out. Had it broke earlier, Romney or even Rudy could of been the benefactor of it.

Sock Puppeteer - 26 Feb 2008 07:46 GMT The Times piece was a gift to McCain! If it had come out two months ago, it would have destroyed his campaign. If it were to have come out six months from now, it would have destroyed his campaign.
By publishing it after McCain has wrapped up the nomination, it has no effect on him at all.
BTW, no one in America calls the Democrats, 'Demos'! We call them 'Dems' for short.'It's Brits that use that term, so I assume you're a British troll trying to start something up.

Case Closed! Due to that piece, there is now all this spin that has to do with McCain's relationship to lobbyists. McCain has time to address these charges, which is why it is favorable. However, if you think that McCain will regain a lead, it will only be able to be done, if he can show that he doesn't have ties to lobbyists. Even then, his "100 years in Iraq" speaks volumes here. Why would America be in Iraq unless things continue the way they are or America intends to be occupiers, or use it as a base to invade other nations?

The media wants a fight, they always do. The numbers will narrow down watch and see. May the best and most qualified man win, McCain. Who knows down the road Obama might return and win eventually. His short tenure in the US Senate qualifies him for most but not President. This is Hillary's only good point as she has run against him, he is not qualified. JMHO

Obama is such a rookie compared to McCain. We can always "hope" that the US won't ever be attacked again.

Those terrorists are very diabolical. First, they fill a van full of explosives, and try to blow up the World Trade Center, but they are several megatons off. Then, they take another 8 years to come up with a cunning plan, and hijack airplanes with box cutters. Man, nobody could've forseen terrorists hijacking planes, just like nobody could've anticipated the breach of the levees in New Orleans. Those terrorists are so stealthy and cunning that only a man with experience like McCain will keep us safe. Hell, those guys might try hijacking trains and running them off the track into nuclear reactors next, or even come after us with pointed sticks.
