Here are a few state mottos the ACLU would hate, with their desire to
censor our history and heritage...
Arizona - Diat Deus (God enriches)
Colorado - Nil Sine Numine (Nothing without Providence)
Connecticut - Qui Transtulit Sustinet (He who transplanted still
sustains)
Florida - In God We Trust
Hawaii - The Life of the Land is Perpetuated in Righteousness
-Motto info from A Nation Under God
That is just five of the mottos. There are many more. How long till
these are also in court?

re: constitutionality of mottos proclaiming a state's explicit
recognition/salutation//respect upon deity
Monsewer Non-Justice RobtCohen:
Well, the U.S. Constitution is man-made, and is subject over time to
interpretation and re-interpretation and re-re- interpretation: it's not
immutable
The robe-garbed interpreters are ultimately political appointees:
By this I mean duly selected through legal-political process, including
approval by a majority of a directly elected (formerly selected) Senate
In our complex culture, which is so often contradictory
socially-politically-economically:
The first amendment may be interpreted to find that state mottos aren't
actually substantially the establishment of a religion nor of a religious
belief
This prevailing interpretation is a kind of legal fiction--i.e. "corporations
are persons"-- but it will have to do pragmatically as so much of our on-going
adaptive generally legalistic-adhering/acknowledging culture must be for our
overall civilization's survival
Thus: HEY, LIVE WITH SUCH AMBIGUOUS RELATIVISTIC FREEDOM OR DIE

You better thank that God every day for the ACLU.

Unless, of course, anyone hears me. In which case, they, and the ACLU,
will sue me for offense..right?
