I could look up the exact dates of when I posted to the Internet that
the USA should exit from Iraq because the "almost inevitable" civil war
which leaves Iraq as 3 or more different countries of Shia, Sunni, Kurd.
I remember before Mr. Bush ever landed on an aircraft carrier announcing
"Mission Accomplished" that I posted to the Internet saying that the USA
forces should go into Iraq under a M.A.D. Operation where they regime
change but do not even bother to capture SH in that we can afford to
have say 200 M.A.D. type operations rather than a continuous full year
of occupation of Iraq. Apparently the Executive branch of the USA
government never listens to what I say.
And apparently, Mr. Bush is the last and only person who believes that
Iraq can be democratized into some idealization of his mind. Reality
suggests that Iraq is perhaps the last country on this entire planet
that can be democratized without it being split up into 3 or 4 smaller
countries.
I thought I would make this post a funny post or a comedy post because
the USA govt. ignores my posts. When people ignore those who have a
better sense of reality then it is time to make fun of them.
I think George Bush is going to be the last USA citizen to realize that
the USA just simply does not have the **resources** to make Iraq a
democracy. You cannot make Iraq a democratic blueprint when next door in
Palestine and Israel you have a seething turmoil hell. The Bush vision
of Democracy in Iraq would require every military person in the USA to
be stationed in Iraq to police the place where every male Iraqi is
watched 24 hours of the day.
SH was so very brutal because that is the way to hold together a country
that should be 3 different smaller countries. Democracy for Iraq at this
time is a joke.
The long term view of the history of the Bush administration will not be
a nice and neat chapter but a ugly one. Because for the first time in
USA history, we went to war over one single man, one person of SH and it
cost the USA some 600 or more and rising fellow citizens. In the past
USA history we have dealt regime changes, but we were never so silly and
stupid as to wage an entire war over a regime change.
This is what happens when the American people elect a "dumb person" as
the Germans were quoted in saying after the 2000 election, into the
office of the USA.
In the past USA history, we often failed to regime change a single
person, but our failure was not as gross of a mistake as Mr. Bush who
sends the entire USA military to change a one person regime.
What the eyes of the rest of the world is looking at the USA for come
November 2004 is whether the American people have learned anything or
learned much from November of 2000 when they put a "dumb person" into
the White House.
Which is worse for the USA society? To be Fat or to be cut and runnish
upon finding you made a mistake. Mr. Bush is somewhat Fat and needs to
be about 150 lbs in weight. He is not obese like so many fellow
Americans. But Mr. Bush does not want to cut and run. So, when a person
finds out they made a mistake, is it best to Cut and Run? Mr. Bush says
he will not cut and run from Iraq, but he in fact is cutting and running
with his actions of June 30 turnover.
What Mr. Bush needs most of all is a reality check, that Iraq has a 90%
chance of ending up as 3 different countries rather than as one
democratic Iraqi whole.
The eyes are focused from the rest of the world as to whether the
American people have enough sense and brains to get a new person into
the White House because the Bush administration is a known quantity of
"dumbness" and will the people of the USA continue with another 4 years
of that dumbness? Are all Americans Fat, Obese, Cut and Run and finally
Dumb.

What Mr. Bush should be doing at this time is preparing for the division of
Iraq into 3 smaller countries of Shia, Kurd and Sunni. Where he gets
together with the most able person in Shia, and in Kurd, and in Sunni and
says to them, "make your region secure and safe and you shall be the leader
of your people come June 30.
The likely inevitability of Iraq is that it will be split into 3 different
countries. And so pick out a strong man in each of those 3 regions who can
clamp down on all the violence in those regions and they will be the new
leaders of their smaller countries.
Bush's democracy is a pipedream that has cost the USA already in 600 and
counting lives and in billions of dollars.
Iraq will end up as 3 smaller countries regardless of the wasted lives and
money of the Bush plan.
So, the most sensible thing for the USA at this moment is to draw up a map
of the countries of Shia, of Sunni and of Kurd and get a strongman in each
of those 3 regions who can stablilize and give peace to those 3 regions.
For in the final analysis, democracy is nothing unless it is in a stable
and peaceful land. You need peace and stability and security before you
have democracy.

Funny how the USA gave birth to the philosophy of Pragmatism but now the USA
is burdened with a president steeped in Idealism. For a country like Iraq that
is not ready for democracy but ready to be split into smaller countries of
Shia of Sunni and of Kurd. Iraq is ready to be Yugoslavized not democratized.
We should ask whether Brahimmi of the UN is needed to set an interim govt. by
June 30. We should ask whether cleric Sistani for the Shia is capable of
running all the Shias as one country or whether the strongman of Al Satir with
his 10,000
militia is capable of running all the Shia. We should ask what strongman of
the Sunni can run all the Sunni. The Kurds seem to already run themselves. So
all that is needed is to draw up a border to make a country for the Kurds.
What the Bush team should be doing now is drawing up a map that will be the
country of Sunni and the country of Shia.
Then, as soon as a strong leader is found for the Shia and Sunni. Say "here is
your country and run its people".
For the Kurds, the USA troops can leave Tomorrow. For the Shia and Sunni, as
soon as a leader is found and handed a map of their new country, the very next
day the USA troops can come home.
A possible leader for the Sunni would be that old general of SH army who
recently mediated the Falujah standoff.
To people with logic, such as myself, would have said that in year 1963 or
1962 that Vietnam was no communist domino and that Iraq of 2003 had no WMD,
then it is pointless in both cases to keep USA troops there. We eventually cut
and run out of Vietnam after losing over 60,000 soldiers.
There is no point in continuing this Iraq mess because the endresult is the
same whether we leave next week or leave after 1 year or 2 years or more. The
endresult is that Iraq will be 3 separate smaller countries (perhaps more). If
JFK or LBJ had understood that Vietnam would be one country and would not be a
threat to the USA then the Vietnam War would have never escalated.
The USA has neither the time nor resources to make Iraq some pipedream
democracy. What Iraq needs at this time is 3 separate smaller countries with
their own borders.
Unless the Bush administration works on a 3 country endresult for Iraq, then
more USA lives will be lost for this Bush pipedream that will never come into
reality and where 3 smaller countries emerge eventually anyway.
When the people of the USA elect a dumb person into the WhiteHouse, then
expect the next four years to be a state of the union of dumbness throughout.
Dumbness not only in foreign policy but domestic policy. At least Gore would
have pay attention and thwarted the 11Sept attack, but with Bush, everything
for the past 4 years has gone to hell in a handbasket. And I would not be
surprized if Mr. Bush was re-elected so that the future history books can call
this period of USA history as the "Fat, Dumb, Obese, Cut & Run Era". Perhaps
Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney should add some 100 lbs of weight before November to
connect the dots, all the dots.

That parallel may be all too close <g>

You wouldn't be the first to consider that path, but nothing
gets through to the Bush administration;
