I'm convinced he did.

I mean,  would such a man kill indiscriminately?  He was, as you say, a
soldier.

Such a man would know his target intimately.

He did exactly what he intended to do.

Nero and Caligula were shot?

Oh dear...

So little brain,  so many mistakes...

I'm sure that Mr McVeigh  (who served his country in war)
was unaware of children in the vicinity.

Nero & Caligula, though I admit the right person is not
often chosen.  Archduke Ferdinand & Czar Alexander II were
bad mistakes.

wheresixteen children in the  were killed in the "America's Kids Day Care

There are no crèches inside the federal reserve bldg; and:

how does one influence the course of corrupt politics?

1/ Become a politician.
2/ Become rich and exert influence.
3/ Get a gun and shoot the bad guy.

No3 has been used often to rid the world of sundry
megalomaniacs. though all too rarely.

Timothy McVeigh was seen as such in some quarters.

He died too soon to avenge we poor suffering fleeced
abstemious depositors.  A large Ammonium Nitrate bomb driven
to the walls of the federal reserve bldg would have created
that large jolt to put the fear of Jesus into the likes of
that mummified Alan Greenspan and his birth-maggot Bernanke.

Yea we are in need of those brave souls who recognize
thieves, incompetents, kicked-upstairs fogeys, touts and the
like, even though they hold down degrees from the Ivy League
ghettos.

As it is, the Morlocks continue gnawing on the poor (lately
poorer) Eloi, slavery in the form of debt continues,
denizens of this NG ignore the whole problem, and that
stupid (which is forever) GW Bush and his cock-socket Tony
Blair have escaped scot free!

You Yanks sure get the government you deserve!

"Public Enemy" with Johnny Depp is an awfully good genre
film and the best in general release since STAR TREK came
out 2 months ago.  Depp's love interest is Marilyn Cotillard
who charmed us 2 years ago as Edith Piaf.  I can imagine
Depp probably met her in France.

"Public Enemy" is a reprise of the Great Depression  class
struggle when bank robbers were briefly seen as folk heroes.
