There have been a lot of legends in British history ( King Arthur etc) and I
wonder if they have some basis in fact, or are completely fiction?

Just about any British Comedy with Alec Guinness or Peter Sellers in a
key role is far funnier than _Monty Python and the Holy Grail_ -- which
has not worn well.

Has anyone been to or seen the memorial to the International Brigade in
London? From the IBMT website there is mention of one at Jubilee Gardens
next to the London Eye.

I guess this question could apply to mosaics anywhere,  but it's the mosaics
in England that made me wonder about it.
Often, when a mosaic is discovered/uncovered, sections of the mosaic are

Joe Cahill died on Saturday. The man behind many of the IRA's
atrocities in N. Ireland and Britain was given an  amazingly
neutral send-off in the obituaries published in the US media that I saw.
