Was the East India company arguably the most powerfull company ever?
If not then where does it stand in relation to other very powerfull
companies today and throughout history?

I barely got finished my last posting when I started back listening to the
news and it now turns out that elements of the US occupying force have been
torturing and humiliating Iraqi civilians.  Not only that, but they've been
taking pictures of it and posing beside these innocent, ...

I got to say it man, you must be saying things that deeply worry many people
because you seem to have all of the WebTV Wackos lined up against you.  You
must be hurting them somehow.  Not that that means much because they all
seem to be a bunch of illiterate ranters who have never ...

I have just found out that Gerald Ford was part of the Warren report into
JFK's death...
What was the extent of his involvment.

These two authors have come under enormous criticism for exaggerating
history/ anthropology.  Are their books still used as college
textbooks.  From what I've read, they should be tossed out.  I'm
referring mostly to books by Derek Wheeler and Prof. Leftowitz.

I seems a bit of a mantra today that appeasement has always,
throughout all of history, emboldened the appeased, but the
only example ever proffered in support of this is Chamberlain
and Hitler.

I think that the mass amount of people that are in debt today is a more
contemporary form of "Indentured Servanthood".  Any history buffs here
can tell me what they think.  But the way I see it, it looks like 90% of
the populous will be paying back their debts most if not all of ...
