POD:  On July 11, 1804 Thomas Jefferson has a heart attack and dies at dusk.
This is also the same day that Aaron Burr shot and killed Hamilton in a

For whatever psychological reason, Karl Marx becomes a businessman

WI the US stuck to Nixon's initial preference of a 2 China's policy,
preferring to treat China and Taiwan as two separate states, who
happened to have Chinese culture and the name China in their names,
like East and West Germany, or North and South Yemen.

There was some talk at the end of WWI of Canada getting some territory
as a trustee.  This never came about because no one really pushed for
it, but let us supose that the Canadian PM gets a bee in his bonet and
really wants a colony/trust teritory for the Greatness Of Canada!  ...
