| North Korea: Backwash in the Sea of Time | 30 Dec 2006 22:41 GMT | 6 |
Let's vaguely assume some sort of conservation. Not only is the current North Korea moved backwards a thousand years or whatever, but the people and land (down to agricultural effects, anyway) from back then appear in the same territory in the present. Now what?

Vaguely inspired by the recurring 'WI: Society Abandoned Technology....' thread: The United States today has roughly 370,000 Mennonites and 198,000 Old Order Amish, adding up to a large but not overly significant number of 568,000 people. What if they made up a

Okay, it's 476 AD, a hundred years since the Goths were annihilated at Adrianople. The Germanic tribes were cowed into submission as a result, the Huns were defeated in 451 on schedule, and the Eastern Roman Empire had the resources to assist the West when the Franks tried crossing ...

| Jutland-related WI: Germans trap and destroy Beatty's fleet | 29 Dec 2006 04:37 GMT | 314 |
I am by no means expert on naval history, but I thought this might be of interest. If I recall, the original German plan leading up to the Battle of Jutland was to use a sortie by Hipper's battlecruisers to lure out
