I'm looking into some potential Xmas gifts and need some advice.  Can
anyone recommend good books with detailed, accurate information on
equipment, weapons, and/or vehicles and the like for various armed
forces in WWII?  I'm sure you all know the kind of information I'm

For reasons of research I am looking for images of the type of flarepaths
that were used to illuminate RAF runways in WW2. Can anyone point me in the
direction of a good resource?

soldier called Henry John Hiscox. He was killed in the night of

There must be some remote exhcanges of fire that took place in WW2. I would
like to know what the remotest was.
I am subpecting it to be naval and maybe on some small rocky outcrop in the
middle of the antartic wilderness or somthing similar..
