Pacific theather?
I have a fondness for the Corsair and its campaigns.

I have read a number of books about US and British involvement in WWII and
recently read Alexander Werth's "Russia at War".  Could someone suggest a
good book that gives the German military point of view at the top level over
the whole war?

Knowing Winnie, then surely *some* prep on the (whole) UK coast must have
been considered and underway at that time?
There must have been some gun emplacements by then, even possibly some built

Im reading Donald R. Burgett's "Currahee!- A Screaming Eagle At
Normandy", and on page 157 it says:

A friend has an old 8 inch 78rpm record of what apparently is her great
uncle when he was a soldier in WWII. She believes it was made from a short
wave radio transmission while he was a POW in a Japanese camp. It is about a
minute and a half long, and appears to have the exact same ...
