Rummaging through my recently deceased father's correspondence, i found a poem written in my father's hand on american red cross stationery. i never knew my father to be a poet, so i am not so sure that he wrote it. it is not great poetry, but it seems a good example of a g.i.'s

my Dad served in the CBI theater in the 843 Anti Aircraft Artillery battalion. he says they were attached to the 14th Air Force Flying Tigers. where on the web could I find information about his unit? please reply to the group.

The book titled "The Guns Of Normandy," is a memoir by George Blackburn when he was a Canadian artillery officer. On page 63 he writes that he saw a case of German rifle ammunition with normal brass cartridges but having bullets

I picked up a copy of a 1944 book titled "Bombardier," apparently targeted for High School or possibly college kids. It mentions "the American bombsight" as a great secret but doesn't use the name Norden.
